Lentil Soup

Ingredients

  • 250g lentals
  • 3-4 rather big potatoes
  • 1 big carrot
  • 1 cellerie
  • 1 onion
  • 0.5 leek
  • 4 wiener sausages
  • cumin
  • parsley
  • 2 bay leaves

For seasoning:

  • Vinegar
  • Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and the leek
  2. Chop the potatoes, carrot and cellerie into equally sized pieces
  3. Add the lentals to the crockpot and fill water just until the lentals are covered
  4. Cook for 4-5 hours on level high
  5. (Optional) 20 minutes before the time is up: If desired, mash the soup ingredients
  6. 20 minutes before the time’s up, start chopping the wieners and pour them into the soup.
